The Dutch Open 2020, our 4th International Pickleball Tournament
Registration opens on September 15th, 2019 and closes on March 1st, 2020.
We’re very happy to announce our 4th International Pickleball Tournament in Holland. Our indoor venue will once again be the Topsportcenter in Almere where we have 16 courts available. We hope that you will be as satisfied as all our 3rd tournament participants were in 2018. We are always trying to improve, so this tournament we would like to extend an invitation to all registered participants play for FREE the days prior to the tournament. We’ve organize some free clinics for you in the days before the tournament and we’re very happy with Louis Laville, Thaddea Lock and Gianne Meijer being our clinic teachers. As a side option, we have arranged for those interested, a Guided City Walk in the beautiful town of Leiden which is not far from Amsterdam and Haarlem.
This year all persons aged 12 years and up (born in 2008 or earlier) can play in our tournament. And more news: if a certain skill-level group is large enough (as certainly would be the case in the mixed doubles and most likely in more brackets), we will split into 2 age groups; 12-49 years and 50 years and up. If this is not the case, then all people of all ages will play together. Our competition format will be round robin group stages followed by (depending on the group size), Quarter-, Semi- and/or Finals.
So as you can see, the Dutch Open 2020 is more than just a Pickleball tournament. It’s 8 active days of playing Pickleball, meeting and greeting people from all over the world, exploring and visiting the sights of our beautiful country, as well as enjoying a well organized tournament!
