The Dutch Open has been rescheduled to February 19th – 21st 2021. And we hope, but can’t promise, that we can make it happen this time. And if it isn’t safe, we’ll postpone it again!
We’re very happy that 150 registered players of our canceled Dutch Open 2020 registered for 2021. Starting July 6th new players can register. We will send all registered players a password with which they can open an overview of all registered players, partner wanted people and available spots. As soon as categories are complete, we will announce it here.
Unfortunately we can only accept some specific registrations from new players from England because we have so many of them on our playing list already. Only 4.5 and 5.0 players and partners of already registered players from England can register now. If these new partners want to participate in the other doubles event as well, they have to pick a partner from the partner wanted list or from another country (otherwise we would create a snowball). For all other people from England, we will make a waiting list and December 1st 2020 everybody can register (people on the waiting list first) for the spots that are still available at that moment. We’re sorry for this strict rule, but we still try to make our tournament as international as possible.
As you might understand, we don’t know what the virus has in mind, so we advice you to book your accommodation with the possibility to cancel it without any costs.
We will offer a lot of free play and free clinics for all participants in the week before the tournament, a walking tour in the beautiful town of Leiden, a high standard tournament dinner on saturday, just across the sports hall in Almere. And great competition in a well organized tournament with all round robin games and the (semi) finales scheduled so no waiting without knowing when you have to play.
We offer singles on Friday (13.30-18.30), Doubles on Saturday (9.00-18.30) and Mixed Doubles (9-17.30) on Sunday. All in skill level groups and if possible also age-groups.
