There are currently no advices to cancel or adjust international sports events in the Netherlands.
Pickleball Holland keeps a close eye on the latest information and advices concerning the virus via the website of the RIVM (National Institute for Public Health and the Environment).
We asume that participants who expierience cold complaints or fever will cancel their participation. During the tournament we will have a short line with the medics for players who are concerned about their health.
We recommend everyone to pay extra attention to basic hygiene.
RIVM has issued the following advice:
The main measures people can take to prevent the spread of the coronavirus are very simple. These measures apply to all viruses that can cause flu and colds. So it is always important to follow these.
- Wash your hands regularly
- Cough and sneeze in the inside of your elbow
- Use tissue paper
- Update march 9th 2020: Don’t shake hands
- Update march 10th 2020: No kissing on the cheek to greet someone
Pickleball Holland will of course provide soap and disinfectants during Dutch Open and the clinics.
